Wind gusts in Ukraine: Two died, three injured

Two people died and three more – were hospitalized as a result of bad weather in Ukraine, in particular, wind gusts, as Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.

Two children born in 2010 and 2015 were wounded in Mykolaiv when a tree fell down on a bus. They were hospitalized. There were 15 passengers in the bus when the accident happened.

One person died and one more got injured after wind peeled a roof of one of the supermarkets in Zhytomyr region. A metal sheet measuring 11 per 14 meters fell down on two women. The older one died, her daughter born in 1995 is in intensive care.

A tree that fell down on the road in Vinnytsia region killed a 28-year-old woman from Dibrova village.

It was reported that wind gusts stripped a profiled metal from the boiler room of one of the kindergartens is Odesa region.

Wind stripped a profiled metal from a school building in Kyiv region and a metal tile from a hospital in Odesa region. No victims reported.

As of March 11, 211 roofs are damaged (251 were damaged, 40 of them were repaired).
