The World Health Organization is not recommending a third dose of the coronavirus vaccine. This was announced by Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko at a briefing.

During the briefing, the head of the Ministry of Health was asked whether it would be necessary to be vaccinated with a booster dose of the vaccine after the expiration of the Covid certificate in order to renew it. To which Lyashko replied that so far WHO does not recommend being vaccinated with a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

"For Ukrainians who were vaccinated in February, the sixth month is approaching - the certificate period after vaccination or a previous illness is valid for 180 days. Now this issue is being studied by our colleagues from both the EU and WHO. So far, WHO does not recommend the introduction of a booster third dose, but we will receive an answer as to whether the certificate will be extended to 12 months in the near future and we will definitely inform the public about this,” Lyashko said.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization continues to call for the suspension of the revaccination campaign around the world.

This comes after the head of the vaccine research group at Oxford University, which developed the AstraZeneca vaccines, warnedthat many more people around the world would die from Covid-19 if Western political leaders "relinquish responsibility to the rest of humanity" by giving preference for revaccination for their population.
