Former Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Roman Abramovsky became the head of the newly created Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Biography of Roman Abramovsky
Roman Abramovsky was born on October 5, 1973 in city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Russia.
From 1992 to 1994 he worked as a Commercial Director in Yurzovnishconsult closed joint-stock company. After that he held the position of Deputy Director of Consul-Motors CJSC.
In 2000-2004, Abramovsky was the General Director of Avtoland LLC. Then for a year he worked as the First Deputy Chairman of the experimental mechanical plant Metalist.
From 2008 to 2012 he was the Director General of Ukrstal Construction PJSC, associated with a businessman, former head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the current MP from Fatherland Party Serhiy Taruta.
In 2013-2014, Abramovsky was an assistant to ex-MP from the Party of Regions Oleksandr Bobkov, who is known as the organizer of the Oplot militant movement, as well as one of the participants in the fighting on the side of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic militants.
In 2015, Roman Abramovsky was Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing for several months. And in 2019 he became Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Tasks in minister’s office
On June 2, Abramovsky said in a comment to Channel TV 5 that his priority as a minister was the waste management reform, industrial ecology, and state and environmental control reform.
According to the declaration of income for 2019, Abramovsky owns two apartments and two parking places in Kyiv. The cars of the Abramovsky family are Mersedes Benz S500 and Range Rover and BMW X5. The total cost of the cars is about 112,000 dollars. The new minister also owns several elite watches.
Last year, the income of the Abramovsky family amounted to around 52,000 dollars. In addition, the minister's wife received gifts in the form of a share in the authorized capital of several companies for almost 149,000 dollars.
The Abramovsky family keeps 705,000 dollars and 35,000 euros in cash. In the bank accounts, the family of the minister has 797,000 euros, 80,000 dollars, 116,000 UAH and 300 Russian rubles.
