President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the temporarily quarantine regime on weekends might help to avoid the strict lockdown and allow to prepare the necessary number of beds as the Office of the President reported.
“The temporary quarantine regime on weekend, for a few weeks, might help us to avoid the strict lockdown,” Zelensky said.
The president is sure that the quarantine on weekends might help to avoid a large increase of diseased and it will allow to prepare necessary amount of beds.
“Our scenario of the development of the epidemical situation during a cold season will not be the worst,” Zelensky noted.
As we reported, Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry would impose the weekend quarantine next week - because of the rapid spread of Covid-19. The restrictions would become active on November 14 and 15.
Over the last 24 hours, 8,687 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Ukraine. 469,018 cases have been detected since the pandemic reached Ukraine. 209,143 recovered, and 8,565 deceased, succumbing to the consequences of the disease.
