A storm warning is announced in three regions in Ukraine on March 1. Mykola Kulbida, the Head of the Hydrometeorological Centre said it during the meeting of Ukraine’s State Commission on anthropogenic and ecological security and emergency, 112.ua reports.
“We expect the wind gusts to 25-27 m/s in Priazovia – in Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and partially Dnipropetrovsk regions,” he said.
Besides, according to Kulbida, two cyclones are approaching Ukraine. First one will come on February 27-28, the second – on March 1.
“The first cyclone – on February 27-28, which will move from the Black Sea towards Kharkiv, and it will bring slow and heavy snow, snowstorm, and wind gusts…Next cyclone will come to us from Turkey by the Black Sea on March 1. During the day it will be located in the central part so that 25-30 mm of precipitations will occur,” he said.
As we reported earlier, the temperature in Kyiv will drop to -17-22 degrees on February 25-27 (from -16°C to -19 °C in Kyiv), and to -24 °C in some parts of the region. In Volyn, Lviv, Ternopil, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv regions temperature will drop to -25 °C.
