There is no need to raise an issue of Russian invasion of Ukraine for now. Such opinion was expressed on air of "112 Ukraine" TV channel by military expert Oleh Zhdanov.
"I would not talk about invasion to date, as there are only 50 thousand people scattered along the frontline, which is about 3 thousand kilometers, while we increased our Armed Forces to 250 thousand people," Zhdanov noted.
According to him, Russia’s military forces estimated at 50-60 thousand people by Ukrainian intelligence, are divided between Transnistria, Crimea, Belarus, Donetsk and Luhansk regions and along all Western Ukrainian border. "This is all they have at the whole perimeter of Ukrainian border," expert added.
"When the enemy starts to increase assault army, its number will exceed 250 thousand at Ukraine-Russia border in one direction only, then is the time to think about some variant of incursion into some part of Ukrainian territory," Zhdanov thinks.
He also noted that despite this fact Ukraine still has to build up and develop Armed Forces. "If you want peace, prepare for war," he commented.
As it was reported earlier by President Poroshenko, a threat of Russian full-scale invasion to Ukraine remains as of today.
