The organizer of Avalanche cybercrime group Hennadiy Kapkanov, arrested on November 30 in Poltava, managed to escape. The press service of the National Police of Ukraine informs that Kapkanov is wanted again.
At the same time, he is now sought for his attempt to kill a law enforcement officer.
Kapkanov was sought in 30 countries through Interpol and the FBI for four years, Poltava edition notes.
He was successfully arrested on November 30 in Poltava during the "KORD" raid, cyberpolice and the General Prosecutor's Office, which were controlled from the office of Europol in Hague. German police was also involved in the investigation.
Running away, Kapkanov was shooting back and tried to escape through a third floor balcony - apparently, this episode is a new criminal case.
The next day, a session of the district court in Poltava was held on the election of a preventive measure for a detainee. The prosecutor asked for the arrest of Kapkanov, but the judge let him go.
After that Kapkanov disappeared.
He is accused of using malicious programs to steal money from bank accounts or accounts of users in online payment systems amounting to 6 million euros. In Germany, he would face 10 years in prison.
