Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova arrived in Kyiv to participate in the court hearing on the case of RIA News editor in chief Kyryl Vyshynsky, as she wrote on Instagram.

“Tomorrow (March, 20 - ed.) the court will consider the appeal on prolongation of detention for Vyshynsky. I am on my way to Kyiv to attend the court session,” Moskalkova wrote.

As it was reported, the former RIA News Head Kyrylo Vyshynsky was transferred to Kyiv to the Lukyanivska prison. Andriy Domansky, the lawyer of Vyshynsky.

Earlier, Kherson City Court extended detention for RIA News Head Kyrylo Vyshynsky to April 8.

On May 15, the SBU considered the detention of the head of RIA News Ukraine agency’s office.

Kremlin has already responded to the incident and called the actions of the SBU outrageous. Besides, Russia promised to assume reciprocal measures. Then, the state sent a protest note over searches at the mass media office.

The actions of Vyshynsky were preliminarily qualified as the state treason. The same day the SBU reported that Kyrylo Vyshynsky is now officially suspected of state treason.
