Journalists from three channels illegally closed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, ZIK, NEWSONE and 112 Ukraine, have united to create a new Pershiy Nezalezhniy (First Independent) TV channel that will keep viewers informed of what is happening in the country. The journalist and TV presenter Vyacheslav Pikhovshek said this.
"Did anyone think that the journalists of the three TV channels closed by arbitrariness, closed not through the court but through sanctions, would just give up and betray their viewers? Did anyone really think that people who have dedicated their entire lives to Ukrainian television will just leave? It did not happen. We have become victims of arbitrariness, complete violation of human rights and freedom of the press," Pikhovshek said.
He noted that journalists have become victims of arbitrariness and complete neglect of human rights and a free press. Therefore, the three TV channels decided to merge into one - the first free TV channel, which will not be dependent on anyone.
"Independent of Zelensky, independent of oligarchs, of lies and arbitrariness. We hope that in the new round of history, the government will finally gain common sense, and we will not be shut down and will be allowed to work freely and tell the truth. Meet Pershiy Nezalezhniy. We are preparing a great number of completely new formats that have no analogues on Ukrainian television. We will not let you down," Pikhovshek said.
The new TV channel will broadcast on ASTRA-4A satellite, 5°E. It can also be found on the largest cable networks of the service providers Volia, Triolan and other operators. The faces of Pershiy Nezalezhniy will be all the figures that are iconic and familiar to the viewer of the TV channels closed by Zelensky. The list includes Diana Panchenko, Pavlo Kuzheev, Vyacheslav Pikhovshek, Vasyl Apasov, Yuriy Bibik, Andriy Lashch, Rostyslav Sukhachov and others.
