Volunteers March participants came with a rally to the Russian Embassy in Kyiv. They lit fires, some used rocket launchers to fire at the building, hitting the roof of the embassy, PavlovskyNews reports on Telegram.
"An unknown man from the crowd shot with rocket launcher at the building of the Russian Embassy in Kyiv. The National Guard stands between the convoy and the embassy," the statement said.
At the entrance to the institution, several hundred soldiers of the National Guard were on duty. At the moment, the march ended.
Law enforcement officers not only blocked the movement, but also built an additional fence of cars and a metal mesh, reports Strana. Thus, the Russian diplomatic institution turned out to be in a double ring of law enforcement officers and protesters. The latter thus wanted to "make clear to the authorities that there will be no surrender."
The National Guard stood between the convoy and the embassy. Meanwhile, at the rally, there were repeated calls addressed to the Russians “to get out of Ukraine” and hints that people could go to storm the building.
We recall that March 14 Ukraine celebrates the Volunteer Day. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada at a meeting on January 17, 2017.
