The meeting of US Special Envoy in Ukraine Kurt Volker and Counselor of the president of Russia Vladislav Surkov will take place in November 2017 as the Russian media ‘Izvestiia’ reported citing the sources.
According to the source, the sides will discuss the Russian scenario of the deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas, the implementation of the Minsk Agreements and work of the Trilateral Contact Group.
It is noted that the decision about another meeting was made on October 27. The sides agreed to hold the negotiations at the neutral territory. The State Department of State refused to announce the meeting.
Volker and Surkov met in Belgrade on October 7. They discussed the UN draft resolution on Donbas proposed by Russia. Lavrov and Tillerson emphasized after the negotiations that the meetings should continue.
