Volker, Surkov to discuss UN peacekeeping mission in Belgrade

Kurt Volker, the US Special Envoy to Ukraine and Vladislav Surkov, the Counselor of Russian president will discuss all topical issues on the settlement of the Donbas Conflict, including the issue of the UN peacekeepers in Belgrade on November 13. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of Russian president claimed this as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

‘Of course, the issue of the UN peacekeeping mission and proper initiatives will be on the table. All topical issues will be discussed’, Peskov claimed.

According to him, Volker and Surkov will exchange the opinions. ‘It is the direct channel of the exchange of the opinions (between Moscow and Washington) on the Donbas Conflict. Of course, all issues connected with the order of the day that is formed around this conflict will be discussed’.

Volker and Surkov already held the negotiations on August 21 in Minsk and on October 7 in Belgrade.

Sergy Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russian and Rex Tillerson, the US Secretary of State emphasized that the meetings should continue.
