A number of states are ready to provide assistance in bringing the UN peacekeepers to Donbas, as Kurt Volker, the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine, said, Echo reports.

“Sweden, Finland, Austria, Belarus, Serbia and Turkey claimed that. I think it’s a good range of the countries,” Volker said.

He specified that it was about not the entire territory of Ukraine, but about the conflict zone.

“If we manage to achieve the withdrawal of the Russian troops from Ukraine, before Ukraine sends its troops to return the territory under its control, forces with  UN mandate will come there. They will receive the control from Russia. They will establish security, they will provide security for the population, then we would take these political steps within the Minsk Agreements,” Volker said.
