Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko sold the lot – the excursion in Kyiv for $50,000, at a charity event hosted by the World Boxing Council (WBC). WBC has traditionally been raising money for the support and rehabilitation of athletes around the world, as the press service of the mayor reported.
The event Night of Champions was held in Las Vegas (the USA). Many legends of the world box participated in the event, in particular, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Oscar De La Hoya, etc.
“Those, who have reached success in their life and have the opportunity to help other people, should do this. And it's very good that the WBC is engaged in charity, and it has been raising funds for many years, including for the support and rehabilitation of athletes,” Klitschko said.
“And since I'm on a business trip to the United States, I was glad to join the event and once again make a promotion to Kyiv and Ukraine. An excursion to our beautiful city was sold for $50,000,” the mayor added.
The evening was also attended by American musician of Mexican origin Carlos Santana, who helps the WBC in charity events. The World Boxing Council presented the symbolic champion belt to him, a virtuoso musician and a prominent personality.
