visa-free regime between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) officially began to work on December 31 as the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine announced earlier.

According to the Foreign Ministry, citizens of Ukraine will need a biometric passport valid for at least six months to enter the UAE. Ukrainians can enter, leave, fly through and stay at the territory of the UAE up to 30 days.

'The citizens of Ukraine that use biometric passports do not have the right to work, be attracted to any professional activity or gain the education in the UAE as long as they received the permit according to the proper UAE legislation', the Foreign Ministry added.

As we reported the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum signed a memorandum on the visa-free regime on November 2nd.
