The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine welcomed the decision of the lower house of the Dutch Parliament on ratification of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine. This was announced by the Ukraine’s Parliament Chairman Andriy Parubiy during the session of the Verkhovna Rada on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“I would like us to welcome positive decision of the Lower house of the Netherlands on EU-Ukraine Association Agreement ratification. 89 out of 150 MPs have voted for the ratification. This voting is not the final step on the way of ratification; we are waiting for the Senate’s decision. But I am confident that the Senate will also vote positively on the Association Agreement between our countries,” Parubiy said.
Earlier it was reported that Dutch Lower House of Parliament supported Association with Ukraine. Upper House needs to vote to complete the procedure.
