"An extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada dedicated to the Crimean Platform will be held on August 23. 150 signatures have been collected in the Verkhovna Rada," Honcharenko wrote.
The Crimean Platform was initiated as an international coordination mechanism to return the issue of Crimea to the agenda, protect human rights in Crimea and promote the de-occupation of the peninsula.
In February this year, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the establishment of an organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the Crimean Platform summit in Ukraine.
In May, EU foreign ministers agreed to consider participating in this summer's Crimean Platform summit.
So far, 37 countries have expressed a wish to be represented at the summit.
