The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will convene an extraordinary plenary session at 12:00 on Tuesday, February 23rd. This was announced by Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov.

Dmytro Razumkov noted that the Parliament will consider the Law on the resumption of competitions for civil service positions vetoed by the President of Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada has supported the draft resolution № 4655 on appeals to the UN, the European Parliament, the PACE, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly, governments and parliaments of the world to condemn the temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol as well as human rights violations in temporarily occupied territories and on the release of political prisoners - citizens of Ukraine.

314 MPs voted in its favour.

The resolution includes the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the governments and parliaments of foreign states, international organizations, members of the international community.
