Verkhovna Rada to consider bill on impeachment on June 4, - Parliament Speaker

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider the bill № 1098 on temporarily investigating commissions, which will regulate the impeachment procedure in Ukraine. Spokesperson of the parliament Andriy Parubiy said this during session broadcasted by 112.Ukraine.

“After that I plan, it will be approximately at 1:00 p.m., we will consider the draft law № 1098 on temporarily investigating commissions and temporarily special commissions. I would like to remind you that the committee had an informed discussion, the committee for many hours, and I took the positive decision there,” Parubiy said.

According to the spokesperson, many amendments were added to the bill, but their total amount was less than 1000, as some MPs had withdrawn their propositions.

Parubiy announced the final voting to take place on June 6.

“I hope that we will hold the discussion from Tuesday afternoon, the whole Wednesday and will approve at 10:40-11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The previous experience of amending gives us the reasons to account on that we will manage to consider the amendments, which were suggested by the MPs of Ukraine, over one day and a half,” the spokesperson of the Verkhovna Rada added.

Earlier, the bill on impeachment created by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was published on the website of Verkhovna Rada.

The bill was registered in the Parliament on May 29 under the No. 10340.
