The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the agreement on cooperation with the European justice organization. 230 people’ deputies voted for the document.
The explanatory memorandum states that the objective of the agreement is creation of a legal basis for cooperation between Ukraine and the European organization of justice in fighting against serious crime, including organized crime and terrorism.
It is expected that the ratification of this agreement will create legal framework for Ukraine to use the opportunities of this organization for rapid exchange of information, coordination of law enforcement agencies in combating cross-border crime and to promote the collection of evidence. Thus, it is planned to increase efficiency of the authorities of Ukraine and the European Union in bringing to justice those who have committed serious crimes of transnational character.
Earlier it was reported that the Memorandum of Cooperation with IMF does not include increase in retirement age, according to Danylyuk. The Finance Minister assured that experience will be the key indicator for allocating pension.
