Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill that provides for the same as for Ukrainians payments for a foreigner serving under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in case of death or disability. The session of the parliament was broadcasted on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
This document provides for foreigners and stateless persons who serve under contract in Armed Forces of Ukraine to receive the same as Ukrainians payments in case of death, disability or partial disability.
The law will come into force on the next day of its official publication.
As it was reported earlier, the Ukrainian parliament supported this draft law in 2017 with 228 votes. Recently, the Verkhovna Rada simplified the procedure for extension of military service for military personnel who was injured, wounded or got a contusion.
Also, Ukraine's Armed Forces went one rank higher on the list of the world's strongest armies composed by Global Firepower company. Currently, the Ukrainian Army is 29th in this ranking, among the 136 countries listed.
Ukraine is placed between Greece (28th) and the Czech Republic (29th).
The top three remains unchanged, with the U.S., Russia and China leading the way. Ukraine's neighbors - Poland, Belarus and Hungary - are placed 22nd, 42nd and 57th, respectively. Bhutan comes last.
