Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada hits top 10 most peaceful parliaments. The rating was composed by the WU News, a British news agency, with the participation of London Institute of World’s Political Science and Conflict resolution studies of Henry J. Pym.
Ukraine is on the 8th place among 132 states. The parliament of Kenya is on the 12th place, Kosovo’s parliament got the 10th position, Matobo’s – the 13th and Belarus is on the 9th place.
The so-called “Peter principle” was applied to the research. Under this principle, the average data on the number of the incidents in a parliament is multiplied by its performance index and divided by the number of deputies.
Norway’s parliament is the leader of the rating for the 3rd year in a row. The parliament of Australia and Saudi Arabia slightly fall behind.
The parliament of Somali and Uganda are recognized as the worst. A big fight happened during the discussion of one of the bills in autumn last year.
The rating of states with the worst conditions for pensioners was made public in February this year. Ukraine is on the 72nd place.
