The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill № 2194 in the second reading and as a whole, which, among other things, allows foreigners to buy non-agricultural land plots in Ukraine outside the settlements. 284 parliamentarians voted for the bill.
The online broadcast of the plenary session can be viewed HERE.
The law proposes to allow communities to dispose of agricultural land, which includes all steppes and meadowlands. Local governments will be able to manage lands outside the settlements.
All lands Outside the settlements will be transmitted from state to communal property, except for lands under state property buildings.
This cession applies to agricultural and non-agricultural land, including water funds and forestry land, and does not affect land provided for permanent use to public institutions.
As it was reported earlier, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine received an idea from the MPs on the constitutionality of the land market law. The Constitutional Court has received a constitutional submission of 48 MPs regarding Ukraine’s compliance with certain provisions of the law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Conditions for the Turnover of Agricultural Land."
