Unknown people in Poltava fractured memorial plates of deceased heroes of Anti-Terrorist Operation and damaged memorial plate of Symon Petliura, the statesman of the Ukrainian People's Republic. This was reported by the head of Police Communications Department in Poltava region on his Facebook page.

"Police continue working double time. However, jackals showed up and broke two memorial plaques of ATO heroes in different parts of the city (Almazna and Sakko). They also damaged the memorial of Symon Petliura. Ukraine’s enemies are not sleeping," he wrote.

He informed that people from different regions came to Poltava yesterday, thus he asked residents to be careful and report about any suspicious activity.

He also called on civil institutions and patriots to organize and help police to establish rule of law in the city.
