Vadym Melnyk, head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, became the director of the Bureau of Economic Security (BES). MP Oleksiy Honcharenko announced this with reference to sources in the Cabinet of Ministers.
"According to my sources in the Cabinet, Vadym Melnyk has been appointed head of the Bureau of Economic Security," Honcharenko wrote.
Melnyk served in the Tax Police for more than 14 years. In 2014-2016, he was the head of the main investigative department of financial investigations of the SFS. Since the end of 2020 - head of the State Fiscal Service.
More than 50 people took part in the competition for the post of head of the Bureau of Economic Security.
As we reported earlier, the National Security and Defense Council, at the request of the Security Service of Ukraine, imposed personal sanctions against Russian judges, the military and intelligence officers for persecuting Ukrainian citizens in the occupied Crimea.
Thus, the list of sanctions for the persecution of civilians in the occupied Crimea includes Crimean judges and officials, Russian generals and intelligence officers, as well as the media registered in the occupied Crimea.
