The vaccination of Olympians and Paralympians has started in Ukraine as Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Huttsait reported on Facebook.

“Officially! We start the vaccination of our athletes – partakers of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Today, the Ukrainian Shooting Federation became a pioneer in vaccination among Olympic athletes. They were vaccinated by Chinese CoronaVac that arrived in Ukraine recently and got all laboratory approvals,” the minister wrote.

It is noted that the Ministry of Youth and Sports received 1,500 vaccines.

“I wish all Ukrainians good health and great victories at Olympic Games to our athletes,” Huttsait added.

As we reported, the vaccination process of the population against coronavirus with Chinese CoronaVac vaccine produced by Sinovac Biotech starts in Ukraine today, on April 13. The Health Minister noted that the CoronaVac vaccine will be used for the vaccination of particular groups of population: police officers, people with limited mobility (people with disabilities) who cannot come to the vaccination center and their guardians, the Olympians and Paralympians and teachers who participate in the external independent evaluation.
