Marie Yovanovitch, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, expressed condolences due to the death of Kharkiv Mayor Advisor Kateryna Handziuk, as she wrote on Twitter.

As it was reported, on November 4, Kateryna Handziuk, Kherson Mayor Advisor, died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. Preliminary, she died because of a blood clot detachment.

Later, President Petro Poroshenko confirmed this information – he expressed condolences on the death of the official. He also demanded the law enforcers do everything possible to punish the murderers.

The police promised that they would give a legal qualification after the conclusions of the expert examinations concerning the cause of the death.
