The Kremlin claimed that a supply of lethal weapons from the US to Ukraine can stir up nationalists that aim to unleash violence in Donbas. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of the Russian President claimed this as TASS reported.
‘The reaction of Moscow on the possible supplies of the lethal weapons to Ukraine is well known. Possibly, it will once again stir up the nationalists that aim to begin the power method of the settlement of the Donbas Conflict and unleash the violence again’, Peskov said.
He also noted that there were no official statements of Washington on this issue.
‘I want to draw your attention there was an official denial from Washington and all these massages from the American mass media do not correspond to the reality. There were no official decisions on this issue’, he added.
As we reported Trump's Administration has approved the first ever U.S. commercial sale of lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine, in a clear break from the de facto U.S. ban on arms sales of the Obama administration. The move was strongly supported by top Trump national security Cabinet officials and Congress but may complicate President Trump’s stated ambition to work with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
