U.S. State Department Spokesperson Ned Price stated that personnel replacements at Naftogaz violate principles of corporate governance as he reported on Twitter.

“Respect for corporate governance, transparency, and integrity in energy sector personnel appointments - whether government or state-owned enterprises - is key to maintaining confidence in Ukraine’s commitment to reform,” Price wrote.

On April 28, the Cabinet of Ministers officially reported the dismissal of Andriy Kobolev from the position of Naftogaz CEO. The government held a general meeting of the stockholders of Naftogaz. The report of the company’s work for 2020 was considered.

It is noted that Naftogaz Ukraine will be chaired by Yuriy Vitrenko from April 29.

Meanwhile, the Ambassadors of G7 have reacted to the dismissal of Naftogaz Head Andriy Kobolev and the supervisory board. They warn against interference in its work.
