The U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch ends her three-year term in Kyiv as scheduled. The data of her departure complies with the transition of power in Ukraine, as Ukrinform reported referring to the answer of the official representative of the U.S. State Department to the journalist’s request.
“Ambassador Yovanovitch ends her three-year diplomatic term in Kyiv as scheduled,” the U.S. foreign service reported.
As the representatives of State Department stressed, “confirmed date of her departure” complies with the transition of presidential power in Ukraine.
“The team of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv and in Washington continue cooperation with the Ukrainian government and civil society to enhance our partnership,” the U.S. State Department informed.
Earlier, media reported that the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Mary Marie Yovanovitch would end her term in our country on May 20.
