The pyrotechnists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) received technical equipment for the humanitarian demining in Donbas region, funded by the U.S. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"The representatives of the Dutch demining group passed the technical equipment, funded by the U.S. government, to the pyrotechnists on the territory of Kyiv region's training base of the relocatable emergency response team of the SESU for the humanitarian mine clearance in Donbas," the message said.
It is mentioned that the lifeguards received pyrotechnic vehicles, protective gear, metal detectors, instruments for manual demining and non-technical survey.
According to Head of the SESU Ruslan Biloshytsky, more than 3,046,187 sq.ft. of the territory have been demined and 173,000 explosive objects have been defused by subdivisions of the SESU since July 2014.
