The U.S. House of Representatives approved the draft laws, which provide the provision of $700 million of aid to Ukraine as Ukraine’s Embassy to the U.S. reported on Facebook.
“The House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress approved the draft laws on the financing of Pentagon, State Department, U.S. Agency for International Development and related programs for 2020, which include $700 million for the support of Ukraine,” the message said.
Then both chambers of the Congress should agree on the final version of the draft laws, which will be passed to the president for a sign.
It is noted that the draft law “On allocation for Defense Department for 2020” includes estimated aid for the support in the security sphere of Ukraine in the amount of $250 million. $50 million out of 250 should be allocated only for the provision of the lethal arms of defense nature.
The estimated aid for Ukraine from the Foreign Department of the U.S., USAID and related program is in the sum of $445,7 million. The mentioned sum includes allocations for the provision of the support to Ukraine in the sphere of the security on the program International military financing.
The draft laws should be adopted by the Senate.
