U.S. delegation of high level to arrive at Zelensky’s inauguration, - Volker

Volker himself wants to meet with Zelensky in order to discuss the Donbas conflict

The delegation of the high level will arrive at the inauguration of the newly elected president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The special representative of the U.S. State Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker stated this in the interview to the Russian BBC.

“The delegation of the high level will visit the president’s inauguration in Kyiv, Ukraine. We are waiting for the announcement of the accurate date and then we will choose the accurate members of the delegation. At those days I will try to meet with him in order to discuss the Donbas conflict and the steps, which could be implemented in order to bring peace to these territories again,” Volker stated.

Besides, Volker added that it will be “the highest level of delegates, which suits the status of the inauguration of the head of state, which is the friend to the USA.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada registered the bill on holding the solemn session devoted to the President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky making an oath on May 19, 2019. The document was passed to the review of the parliament’s authorities.
