The Congress of the United States of America plans to increase aid for the security policy of Ukraine to 350 million USD in 2017. It was reported by the US Embassy in Ukraine.
This amount is included in the draft budget law for the United States in 2017 for the needs of national defense. $300 million were allocated to Ukraine in the same document in 2016.
"The list of aid types was extended by including provision of equipment and technical support for the development of an integral system of monitoring the state border of Ukraine, as well as assistance in preparing staff officers and senior military command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement said.
The bill must be adopted by the Senate and House of Representatives in the coming days.
Earlier it was reported that US and Britain will give $19 million for Ukraine's e-governance reform. The project is meant for 5 years.
