The border guards have detained a citizen of the United States with the forged residence permit in Ukraine at the checkpoint “Krakovets” as the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.

The border guards of Mostytsky unit detained a man on January 20 and passed him the officers of the National Police.

 It is reported that the U.S. citizen has “extended” the validity of the document by mechanical erasures.

“The notification on the putting of the information on detection of signs of the crimes such as falsification of documents, seals, stamps and blanks, their sale, use of the forged documents to the United register of pretrial investigation was sent to the National Police,” the message said.

As we reported the workers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine detected six foreigners with another person’s or forged passports at two Kyiv and one Odesa airports.

Earlier, the border guards in Lviv region prevented an illicit crossing of Ukrainian-Polish border by four foreigners. All four were detained for three days in order to clarify the circumstances of the violation. It is also noted that they have arrived in Ukraine legally.
