The US plan to pass the armament to Ukraine, particularly the antitank missile system FGM-148 Javelin but it bewares that the weaponry can be captured by the enemy as it happened before as The Wall Street Journal reported.
The US officials said that they carefully consider the case of the provision of Ukraine with the Javelins. The detachments that are situated far from the frontline will be equipped by them no prevent the use of them during the offensive operations and the capture of them by the enemy.
The US passed the radar systems for the spotting of the location of the enemy's artillery in 2014 and one these systems situated near Debaltseve was captured by the pro-Russian militants.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported to the American side that the parts of the radar system were destroyed before the step-back; however, it is not the only case. The American equipment was found at the captured Russian bases after the Russian aggression in Georgia in 2008 and the parts of the systems were on sale at the black market of Tbilisi.
The American and Ukrainian officials find important the fact that such armament as Javelin should not be captured by the militants who can use it against the Ukrainian tanks.
One Russian official made clear that the American policy is clever because the militants or Russian can re-sale the weaponry to the conflicts zone and it could be used against the American equipment or staff in a few thousand kilometers from Ukraine.
Earlier Pavlo Klimkin, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine claimed that the armament from the US will be used only in the case of the provocations from the pro-Russian militants but not for the escalation of the Donbas Conflict.
