An unscheduled inspection of chemically hazardous enterprises will be carried out in Rivne. This was announced by the mayor Oleksandr Tretyak on his Facebook page.

"On July 21, a meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies was held to discuss the situation at the Rivneazot nitrogen plant. We discussed the response algorithms of all responsible services during such situations that may occur," he wrote.

In addition, the mayor noted that the management of the Rivneazot nitrogen plant did not notify the rescuers, the police or local authorities about the emergency situation.

Based on the results of the meeting, the commission decided to conduct an unscheduled inspection of chemically hazardous enterprises in the city, and also to check potentially dangerous objects (with a massive presence of people) that work in the territory of the community. It was decided to conduct simulation exercises on emergency response. Also, new leaders of the Rivne City Executive Committee and their employees will be trained.

As it was reported earlier, on July 20, there was an explosion at Rivneazot, the nitrogen plant in Rivne city. An orange cloud covered the city. No one was injured in the blast. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, no chemically dangerous substances were detected in the air as a result of the accidentю
