Unknown threw a Molotov cocktail at Jewish Synagogue in Lviv. Jewish community is very upset they have to go through such humiliation, said the wife of the chief rabbi of Lviv Sarah Bold to 112.ua.
“We are all shocked. It is very said that we have to go through such humiliation. But we see the support of Ukrainians. We see that Ukraine cares. We see the kindness which I hope we can grow together,” she said.
Molotov cocktail was thrown at the main synagogue of Lviv on Brativ Mykhnovskykh street. It did not hit the window, it hit the wall between the windows, fell into the courtyard, where it burned down.
The attack happened on June 30. In its turn, Lviv city council published a message condemning the act of vandalism.
"Those responsible must be held accountable. We appeal to law enforcement bodies to investigate these actions as quickly as possible. Lviv has always been, is and will be a tolerant city," said Andry Moskalenko, deputy city mayor of Lviv.
As it was reported earlier explosion occured on US Embassy territory in Kyiv. The incident was qualified as a terrorist act.
