The United States has delivered new Island patrol boats to Ukraine. This was reported by the press center of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Today, November 23, two Island-type boats arrived in Ukraine on aboard Ocean Grand ship from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The boats were named ‘Fastiv’ and ‘Sumy," the message says.

It is noted that patrol boats of the Ukrainian Navy on board a cargo ship have already entered the territorial waters of Ukraine. The final point of their route is the Odesa Commercial Sea Port. They need to undergo customs control, unloading, towing to the base and preparation for operation after long transportation.

‘Fastiv’ and ‘Sumy’ boats will be used soon under the command of Ukrainian crews to ensure maritime safety in the Black and Azov Seas.

The transfer of patrol boats took place within the framework of US logistical assistance to Ukraine, which has been going on since 2014.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Navy recently reported on the redeployment of military units, ships and boats. In particular, military unit A1965 was transferred to Berdyansk from Mykolaiv, and military unit A0937 moved from Odesa to Novi Bilyari.

It was reported that the US also considers sending extra weaponry and advisers to Ukraine amid potential Russian invasion.
