UN approves recommendations on human rights in Ukraine

A working group of the UN Universal Periodic Review gave 190 recommendations on human rights to Ukraine.

Representatives of the Netherlands, Ruanda, and Georgia reported on the situation of human rights in Ukraine.

Representative of Georgia Irakli Jgenti said Ukraine is to look into the recommendations and respond before next March. However, he didn’t specify what the recommendations are.

The Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine said the government will thoroughly study the recommendations and phrase its view in due time – before the 37th session of the UNCHR in March 2018.
