At the meeting of a working group on exploring and solving the issues of reformation of postal communications in Chernihiv region, Igor Smelyansky, “Ukrposhta” CEO, stated that the enterprise incurred losses in the amount of $35,7 million, as Ukrinform reports.
“The losses of “Ukrposhta” from the pensions delivery makes $35,7 million this year. We offered the Government to include certain sums in the state budget, none of which actually was, he said.
It was noted that the session of the working group, which lasted three hours and was followed by a protest of postal workers and activists, brought by the Radical Party, ended with nothing.
Besides, “Ukrposhta” raised tariffs on letters and parcels delivery by 40% since September 10 this year. Another stage of the tariffs increase will start on January 3, 2019.
