On December 21, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have served charges on receiving of unlawful benefit in the sum of 950,000 hryvnia ($33,785) to Ihor Hladkovsky, the son of ex-first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleh Hladkovsky as RBK-Ukraine reported.
“The charges served to Hladkovsky junior in Ukroboronprom case,” the SAPO reported.
The NABU message states that the suspect and the number of persons in 2015-2017 implemented a corruption scheme on the supply of goods of unknown origin to Ukroboronprom enterprises through Optimumspecdetail and other companies.
“Thanks to the efforts of the suspects, Optimumspecdetail got preferences on the conclusion of contracts and payments to enterprises of Ukroboronprom. He (Ihor Hladkovsky) got unlawful benefit from it, which, according to the agreements, had to make 50% of the total sum of the illegally obtained income of the members of the scheme. Thus, only on one contract, the suspect got 950,000 hryvnia ($33,785) of unlawful benefit,” the NABU noted.
However, the bureau believes that it is not the only case of the illegal activity of Ihor Hladkovsky – other facts are being investigated.
Besides, the NABU stated that eight members of the corruption scheme were already identified. Two of them are convicted; three are on trial. Three persons are suspects, including Hladkovsky junior.
February 25, journalist investigations Bihus.Info, Nashi Hroshi program alleged that Ihor Hladkovsky, the son of close Poroshenko ally Oleh Hladkovsky, deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), organized a corruption scheme to smuggle spare military-equipment parts from Russia in 2015. State defense facilities purchased the smuggled spare parts from private companies linked to Hladkovsky and his friends at highly inflated prices. Ukroboronprom state concern knew the origin of the smuggled parts but agreed to purchase them.
Igor Hladkovsky, along with Vitaliy Zhukov and Andriy Rogoza were supplying smuggled Russian components and components from the Ukrainian military units through straw companies at prices 2-4 times higher than market ones.
On March 4, Poroshenko dismissed Oleh Hladkovsky, deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council from his post. he replaced his close associate with Maksym Kryvonos, one of the presidential nominees, who withdrew his candidacy in favor of Poroshenko and was soon appointed NSDC high-ranker.
As it was reported earlier, the investigators of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office detained the acting and former directors of the State Foreign Trade Enterprise SpetsTechnoExport on suspicion of embezzling $2,225 million, according to NABU.

In July 2020, the court of Kyiv recognized information of Bihus.info about involvement of Ihor Hladkovsky in the case is illegal.
