Anthracite coal in Ukraine’s Thermal power station is left only for 40 days. This was reported by the head of UkrEnergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk at the meeting of anti-crisis main office.
“Our total stock is 842 thousand tones which is on the average for 40 days. But it has to be counted that different stations have different coal stock and in fact this number on anthracite stations varies from 14 to 100 days provided establishing emergency state and operation of all stations under minimal market and equipment configuration,” he said.
According to Nasalyk, there are 927 thousand tons of anthracite coal currently stored.
Earlier it was reported that UkrEnergo and Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry propose to declare emergency due to coal deficit. Overall daily average of anthracite coal consumption is about 30 thousand tons per day.
