Ukrainians transfer from Germany record amount in 5 years

This amount exceeds that of 2015 and 2014, when 52 and 54 million euros were sent to Ukraine, respectively

Ukrainians transferred from Germany to Ukraine 56 million euros in 2016 - this is the highest amount for the past five years. This was reported by Deutsche Welle with reference to the Federal Bank of Germany.

This amount exceeds that of 2015 and 2014, when 52 and 54 million euros were sent to Ukraine, respectively and is the highest number since 2012.

Immigrants from other countries living in Germany transferred 4,2 billion euros to their home countries in 2016. This amount is a record since the reunification of Germany and exceeds the number of 2015 by 700 million euros.

Most of the funds are sent from Germany to Turkey - 800 million euros are annually transferred to the country.

As it was reported earlier Ukrainians in Canada develop a “Moon robot.” Google Lunar XPRIZE founded a competition to create a robot that could land on the Moon and transmit images and videos back on the Earth.

Oleksandr Dobryanskyi, who was born in Donetsk region and moved to Canada back in the 90s, is developing a robot that could land on surface of the Moon. Oleksandr is competing with 30 other contenders for a grant from Google Lunar XPRIZE as part of space exploration program.
