Recently, the number of citizens crossing the Ukrainian border has significantly increased. A few days in a row, the passenger traffic per 24 hours was spotted at the level of almost 90,000 passengers; while in November and the beginning of December, about 50,000 people crossed the Ukrainian border in 24 hours as the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported.
“At the border, the passenger flow has significantly increased. The majority of travelers are Ukrainians who return from the EU,” the message said.
According to the law enforcers, during the past few days, the daily passenger traffic was spotted at the level of almost 90,000 passengers; while in November and the beginning of December, about 50,000 people crossed the Ukrainian border in 24 hours.
“The growth of the passenger traffic in the holiday season is traditional. For example, last year, during the same period of time, the passenger traffic made almost 300,000 people per day,” the message said.
The majority of the travelers observed at the checkpoint bordering with Poland and in Zakarpattia region.
