The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has prepared a draft of an order providing all Ukrainians released from captivity in Donbas with $3550 from the state, as Andriy Reva, Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy told in a press conference, according to RBK-Ukraina.
“We suggest that everyone who was released yesterday receives $3550,” Reva said.
He also noted that all Ukrainians who had been officially employed before becoming prisoners of war in Donbas will get the time spent in imprisonment counted into their seniority pension (the concept under which the person needs to work a certain amount of years to be eligible for a pension).
As we reported earlier, the exchange of prisoners took place in Donbas on Dec. 27th. 73 Ukrainians were released in exchange for 233 militants. 24 Ukrainian servicemen were brought to the main military hospital, as they wanted to go through medical examination and treatment.
