Residents of Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Kherson, Vinnytsia and Lviv protest against sky-high gas tariffs in Ukraine, as NewsOne TV channel reports.
Yesterday, January 10, about 20 Poltava residents protested against new gas tariffs and its transportation. Participants of the rally permanently moved along the pedestrian crossing, and therefore traffic was limited.
At the same time, today, January 11, similar protests are taking place in Kherson, Vinnytsia and Lviv regions.
In Kherson, about 100 people took part in a protest action. The protesters claim that they were forced to go to a protest because they are afraid to receive new payments for heating, because the previous ones they could hardly pay.
In Vinnytsia region, activists blocked the international highway in Zhmerynka city.
In Lviv, several dozen citizens gathered and demanded to reduce the inflated gas prices.
Residents of Ivano-Frankivsk, also protested against high gas tariffs under the walls of the regional state administration building.
The protesters expressed the hope that the authorities will listen to them and reduce tariffs, otherwise pensioners will have to give their last money just to pay for utilities.
As we reported earlier, an explosion occurred on the territory of a kindergarten in Vinnytsia, as a result of which three children of preschool age were injured.
