The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) recorded that the snap parliamentary elections in Ukraine were held according to the democratic standards.
This was stated in the report of the organization.
“Based on the monitoring results of the UWC Mission, the 2019 Parliamentary Election in Ukraine has met international standards for the conduct of democratic elections”.
It is mentioned that the authorities of the country cooperating with the law enforcers coped with providing security during the election process. However minor violations were observed on some polling stations, including difficulties for aged and disabled persons to get to the stations located on the second and third floors. Anyway, these irregularities were not systematic and did not influence on the results of the elections.
We recall that elections to the Verkhovna Rada took place in Ukraine on July 21. According to the exit-poll of 112 Ukraine, The Ukrainian parliament of the IX convocation will consist of 5 parties: Servant of the People (43.5%), Opposition Platform - For Life (12.5%), European Solidarity of Petro Poroshenko (8.7%), Batkisvshchyna (Fatherland) (8.1%), Holos (The Voice) (6.6%).
