According to Oksana Fedkiv, a deceased Ukrainian worked in the province of Brescia. She was reportedly hospitalized with suspected coronavirus on March 8. On March 12 the diagnosis was confirmed.
At the same time, there are no official comments by the Ukrainian authorities on this issue yet.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Italy, Yevhen Perelygin, reported that as of the morning of March 13, not a single Ukrainian who was in Italy had applied to the consulate for help in evacuating.
Earlier we reported that the first death of a person infected with a coronavirus was recorded in Ukraine. A 71-year-old woman from the Zhytomyr region who was hospitalized on March 12 with a laboratory-confirmed case of Сovid-19 died today.
The relatives of the woman and persons with whom she contacted stay under the supervision of doctors.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine notes that a woman deceased was in the group of risk.
