Andry Melnik, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany and Michael Gräfe, the Director General of the tourist company solemnly glued the Ukrainian flag at the first bus.
‘We have the tour guides who can hold the excursion in 21 foreign languages and we are proud that now we can do it in the Ukrainian language. We hope that this will attract new tourists’, Gräfe claimed.
The statistics of the tourists from the different countries who use the yellow tourist buses is not held but it is estimated by the managers of the company that the Ukrainian tourists equals about 3-5% from the total amount.
According to Melnik, the work to implement the Ukrainian-speaking guide at the biggest bus tour company in Berlin was held for months.
‘We will not stop and plan to launch the Ukrainian-speaking audio-guides at the main museums of Berlin. Also, we can possibly do it at the building of the Bundestag’, the ambassador reported.
The Ukrainian-speaking guide appeared in the Year of Ukrainian Language in Germany.
